Public Health Nurses help families learn about their illness, the prevention of disease and disability and the resources available to them in the community.
Public Health Nursing Services include: - Health Assessment - physical, psychosocial and environmental
- Health education, health promotion, and disease prevention
- Information regarding resources and referrals for accessing services
- Consultation, collaboration and advocacy with other programs/agencies on behalf of clients
- Crisis assistance and intervention
- Nurse of the Day Service - is available from 8:00 to 9:00 and 4:00-5:00 to answer health care questions and provide resource information
