Contact the Bridge Worker at the Communicable Disease Division (559) 445-3434. The Bridge Workers assists all individuals in Fresno County with HIV/AIDS in locating a primary care provider. The Bridge Worker will assist all individuals in locating a private provider. In addition, referrals for housing assistance, benefits counseling and other support services can be provided.

My partner just told me they have a STD or HIV. What should I do?

If you have a Medical Provider, contact them about getting a screening for various STD's. Services for Sexual Transmitted Diseases may also be obtained in the Community Health Department's Specialty Clinic. They are Located in the Dept. of Community Service's Building at 1221 Fulton Mall. Call the clinic at (559) 445-3416 for an appointment. If your partner has told you she/he has HIV, the first thing you should do is getting tested. Check the Fresno County Human Services System website for HIV anonymous and confidential testing information or call the Fresno County Department of Community Health, Communicable Disease Division at (559) 445-3434.

Who do I talk to about getting emergency food voucher or emergency Housing?

Emergency food vouchers and Emergency Housing are handled by a clients caseworker. If you do not have a caseworker, then you will need to enroll into the HIV/AIDS Client Services Program.
