The Alcohol and Drug Advisory Board is an advisory body for the Fresno County Board of Supervisors and the County Alcohol and Drug Program Administrator. It's primary purpose are:

  • To Participate in the planning process for substance abuse services;
  • Review and evaluate all community drug programs, needs, services, facilities, and special problems.
  • Make reports and recommendations to the County Alcohol and Drug Program Administrator, Fresno County Board of Supervisors and other such bodies and individuals as are appropriate.
  • Promote a comprehensive approach to the alcohol and drug problems of Fresno County.
  • Serve as a sounding board for a wide base of community response and input regarding the community's alcohol and drug problems and programs.
  • Establish an ongoing program of education and dissemination of information to its own members.
  • Oversee ongoing community education programs.
  • Participate in the County's funding process for substance abuse prevention and treatment services.

The Alcohol and Drug Advisory Board meets on the 1st Wednesday of every month at noon. Meetings are held at the UC Merced Center - 550 E. Shaw, Fresno, CA 93710 call 241-7400 for room location.
