Independent living programs assist consumers who are able to live independently in the community. These programs include the Cedar Heights Apartments Project and the soon to be opened program at Cedar Woods Apartments. Cedar Heights and Cedar Woods have staff available to assist consumers in maintaining their ability to live independently in the community. Another independent living program is located at The Californian Hotel in downtown Fresno. The Californian has been remodeled to provide a safe, secure living environment for the elderly, physically impaired or other consumers of Fresno County mental health services.
