Board and care homes are licensed by the State of California Community Care Licensing (559-445-5691) and are inspected annually by environmental health for safety, sanitation and imminent hazards. These facilities provide 24-hour care and supervision for consumers who are unable to live independently, but do not need treatment at an inpatient facility.
