Licensed by the California State Department of Mental Health, the 16-bed Psychiatric Health Facility (PHF) provides 24-hour acute psychiatric inpatient care to Fresno county residents with severe and persistent mental disorders. The goal of PHF is to provide and facilitate diagnosis, assessment, evaluation and a consumer-centered treatment planning process to assist the consumer in achieving his or her individual goals and objectives. At PHF, an interdisciplinary approach to the holistic needs of the consumer creates an environment that promotes successful stabilization and recovery. In addition, family involvement is an essential element of PHF services. Ongoing education and support services are offered to consumers and their families at staff and peer levels.
