The Jail Assessment Team (J.A.T.) provide crisis assessment and intervention treatment services to inmates with urgent mental health needs or with acute mental illness.

The goals of the Jail Assessment Team:

Screening for mental health problems on intake Crisis intervention and management of acute psychiatric episodes Stabilization of the mentally ill and the prevention of psychiatric deterioration in the jail setting Referral and admission to licensed acute mental health facilities for inmates who psychiatric needs exceed the treatment capability of the facility
