Services Provided by the HSS Substance Abuse Prevention Program - Plan, implement and coordinate prevention programs that serve communities throughout Fresno County.
- Administer contracts with agencies to provide prevention services.
- Provide information and referral to substance abuse services.
- Collaborate with community organizations to sponsor health fairs and alcohol/drug-free events.
- Maintain a Resource Center of printed materials for public use.
- Provide videos through the Fresno County Department of Education media center (265-3000).
- Coordinate the annual Red Ribbon drug prevention campaign in October.
